in Romania, i was the CTO of the civic tech NGO that provided the gov. with digital infrastructure during the COVID-19 lockdown. we made the dashboard that we then saw in the subway stations every day, death toll rising. the gov. cooperated when they needed us and the shut the door in our faces.
